On the 8th of October 2006 we have taken part in operative testing of ability to find truffles called „Prova Attitudale di Cerca del Tartufo“. This was taking place in Brisighella (Italy). The testing was on ability to find White Truffle. In our geographic area (Slovakia – Hungary) especially the Summer Truffle

(Tuber Aestivum Vitt) is available while in Italy especially the White Truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico) is available. Tuber Aestivum has a full and intensive taste and in it's character it is
more similar to Tuber Melanosporum Vitt, (also called French or Périgord Truffle - main holder of the legend about Truffles) than to the White Truffle (the most popular and mostly spread type in Italy - many consider it as more tasty than Tuber Melanosporum).
